Welcome!!!

On October 17, 2015 at the Lake Springfield Beach House in Springfield IL, Anthony Earl Nation and Sarah Elizabeth Corso will be getting married in what is surely to be the most nauseatingly adorable ceremony that has ever been performed by man!  As information becomes available it will be posted to this front page.

Some of the information on this website has become spread out through all the different pages. So I will put all the important information here as it becomes available.

  • Tuxedos for the groomsmen are going to be rented by Mens Wearhouse, the reference number that you have to give them for the wedding is 5670841. Tuxedos have to be fitted by October 3rd, if you do not make it on time the bride will be unhappy. She is checking these things every day, I have made an agreement with at least one of the bridesmaids that will prevent her from actually murdering anyone but you still do not want her unhappy. Trust me on this.
  • We have made arrangements to reserve a block of rooms at the very lovely Hilton Garden Inn. Rooms are a very reasonable $99 for a double queen or single king. Both options come with breakfast for up to 4 people. The location is very close to the venue and we both highly recommend that our out-of-town guests take a look. For more information or to make a reservation, call (217)529-7171 and tell them you’re calling for the Nation/Corso Wedding Block, or use code NCWED1.
  • Directions to the venue complete with an embedded map is available on this very website! Just click on the event tab above these posts, if you get to the giant picture, you have gone too far!

How did it get so late so soon!

Only 5 months left! After a very nice and productive vacation there are a few updates I thought it would be nice to post here:

There will be alcohol served at the reception, but if you are drinking you will not be driving home. We have some very big and scary men (myself included) to prevent that from happening. We are working to arrange some sort of designated driver system to prevent any drinking and driving.

The wedding venue is very nice and is very spacious for both the ceremony and the reception. If possible it will be an outdoor ceremony, however since I lived in Illinois long enough to know that you cannot depend on the weather in October it can be easily moved indoors underneath a majestic stuffed moose head (with top hat, this is after all a classy event.)

I was fitted for a tuxedo, and it only took a few minutes. As a reminder to everyone who needs to do the same before October 3rd, the Mens Wearhouse reference number for the event is 5670841.

We have now sampled all the flavors of cupcakes from the Square Peg Bakery that will be at the reception and I can assure you that they are all delicious and that Jolene always outdoes herself.

I made my slightly stressed better half get a pedicure while we were back and I decided to join her.

I really think that blue looks good on me!

So little to do, so much time. Wait, strike that, reverse it!

We have been very busy planning the wedding down here. This seems like as good as time as any to post an update, especially since the save the dates have arrived and should be getting to all of our guests shortly.

We have made arrangements at Mens Wearhouse for the tuxedo rentals. For the groomsmen who may have forgotten my message with those details, shame on you! you can just give them the reference number 5670841 before October 3rd and never tell Tony that you forgot so he continues to think that you are all first class A+ gentlemen.

The lovely bride has received her wedding gown and I am told that it is fantastic. However I am also told that I am not allowed to look at it but she looks fantastic in anything so I think it is a fair assumption.

If you are reading this and have not received your save the date it is safe to assume that one of 2 things has happened:
1. It is on its way
2. Despite his best efforts Tony has forgotten to add you to the address list and you need to contact one of us to correct this.

Douglas Adams once said “I love deadlines, I love the whooshing sound they make as they pass by.” I see exactly what he means.
